40 endurance + havel's ring + ring of favor and protection gets you the full knight set with 11 weight to spare for weapons as big as zweihander or large club before you even start midrolling, and midrolling is perfectly acceptable for DS1 PVE (PVP too but you need to know what you're doing)

Dark Souls was never about min maxing. 95% of people I encountered when playing this game didn't do this shit. The only common item seen was the grass shield. Elden Ring however, was the complete opposite and filled to the brim with tryhard builds that people looked up online.

Also poise is the most broken stat in the game so you're also wrong. Only speed runners did naked runs, which isn't a valid strategy for first time players.

I literally did this exact armor and build my first time through without issue. It tells you what you need to have. Fast rolling and still being able to shield tank gigantic weapon swings is fucking awesome

You don't get percentage based absorbtion in Dark Souls.
Souls games haven't had percentage based damage reduction until Bloodborne, which is why you can actually get some scaling on tanking hits

I’ve beat all except sekiro, demon souls and nloodborne. I’m working on demon souls and Bloodborne now. Demon souls is a bit boring imo but bloodborne is great.

i replay 2 the most followed by 1, and almost never 3. reasoning being 2 is the most non-linear with seemingly the most build variety while 3 is way too linear for my taste

It should also be stressed that fast roll is not even close to a requirement for Dark Souls. This isn't a bloodbornevania. Fast roll is an option, like blocking, parrying, or just moving out of the way manually.
