To be totally honest I really enjoyed Isekai Ojisan and I think most people should watch it.

Looking this one up, it's called "Uglymug, Epicfighter". The original manga ran from 2017 to 2020 for 6 volumes, though it seems a sequel started in December.

Neet who had his life ruined by a fake #MeToo bitch decides to follow a rumour to do an isekai game for a second chance at life. He decides to minmax by setting his looks stat to -255 and some other goofy weaknesses like "making skin contact with a girl makes me lose 10% of my HP", which allows him to have a billion points in all his other stats.
The other three are isekai'd the same way too but went for more typical builds.

I was going to mention that. The trick it figured out is you should try to focus on something else. Everyone already knows the other world routine. The story can involve the other world adventure, but that adventure isn't the story by itself because it's all been done before. Ojisan's isekai story is just "he's OP but ugly how ironic" and if that was told as a start to end linear thing it wouldn't hold up. Doled out as flashbacks while the main story of him reuniting with his family in the real world and trying to catch up on everything he missed, it works.

Even the dimensional merge isn't anything new, however since its the shonen genre, its usually the classroom that gets merged with another world, or there was another one where the real world and the otherworld started overlapping, however that is less isekai and more fantasy.
