It’s not that the game’s unpopular, it’s that nobody knows what the hell it is yet. We’ve seen like five minutes of vague platforming and the weird rock girl mystery, and that’s it. Nintendo pulled a Metroid Dread reveal but forgot to do the Dread part. Everyone’s confused, not uninterested. Once they actually show how this ties into the Mushroom Kingdom or confirm the 3D Mario team’s involvement more clearly, it'll shoot up the catalog.
