Happy for Nintendo but kind of sad as a gamer. I bought a Switch 2 without a pre-order at launch but haven't played it cause it's not a "high demand product."

I think part of the fun of these launches is always the supply constraint and the "woah you have a ____?". The fact that anyone can walk into a Target and buy a Switch kind of makes it feel less special.

A lot of the joy is feeling special and cool, don't really wanna play Mario Kart World when anyone with $550 can do it. Like I have more fun telling people I have an RTX 5090 then actually playing anything on my PC.

Hope the Holiday demand makes the system really sell out and go through stock shortages.

The Switch 2 is sold out EVERYWHERE, can't find it in any store, can't find it online, pre-orders were canceled en masse, only scalpers are selling it for $1500 on ebay because it's the best selling console OF ALL TIME, it sold 163 million units in the first hour, nobody can get their hands on one except the top 0.1% of streamers, that's how popular and amazing it is.
