I've heard discord is pretty much a go to for people who want to interact in gaming these days. Actual in game chats you have to walk on eggshells in and in my experience are USUALLY (not always) dead, or I can't relate with people. Is discord actually good for dealing with this? I've never really used it so I don't even know how that works or how you "make friends". I'm also just not interesting I don't think, which is a whole other issue, I like others to take the lead, including shit talking me if need be. Speaking of which that's one of the best ways to break the ice and socialize. I like old COD for that reason.

Nothing, talk to people in real life where you can make meaningful connections that arent so vapid and easily replaced by some pixels on a screen. You dont need constant discussion or validation over whatever you are thinking, being alone for a while can be peaceful. Disconnecting from the internet in 2025 should be a mandated week or month for people. Also you have small communities that are imageboards but are very slow, this is more then enough for anyone that isnt a attention freak.
