I haven't played Yu-Gi-Oh in a while and just started Master Duel. What the hell is the deal with pendulums and who thought this was a good idea?

On the off chance you do run into the unicorn among unicorns that plays pends then just pray negating Electrumite is enough and if it isn't then scoop.

Pends are a mostly depreciated supertype that has some confusing rulings surrounding them. Whenever a Pendulum card would leave the field, it's sent to the Face Up Extra Deck instead. But cards like Macro Cosmos over-ride this and banish them. They're a mostly wombo-combo style of play that abuses generic ED negates so if you're going second without any hand traps just scoop, not worth sitting through unless you think you can play through like 7 negates.

Konami realized people hated them from day one, and the hate never ever went away, so they rarely ever get strong cards or archetypes today. Many of the few good pendulums are banned. They aren't even broken from a gameplay mechanic, but their implementation was objectively terrible and harder to understand than it needed to be. Also fuck you, it's too much card text for no reason.

They are both Monster Cards and Spell Cards depending on they're played

There's more to sentai than robotic dinosaurs. Especially in japan where Zyuranger doesn't dominate the popular idea of what sentai is.
The "morphia" part is a TCG localization and is more likely related to Dynorphins/Morphine.

Dinomorphia's storyline is probably inspired by Getter Robo given that it's about dinosaurs who survived under the earth's surface and evolved into humanoids who are now seeking revenge on mankind.

I keep Maxx C because most good decks you get matched against summon on both turns so it's never a dead draw. 3 Paidra really improved my consistency.

Ultimate Slayer is good too but sometimes you get matched against a Labrynth or something so I'd say 2 is fine

Don't fall for copies of hard once per turns, win in one turn or bust. But some good cards like droplet or either Thrust or Talent are worth a second one.

Promethian doesn't really do much in the deck if you have another Slayer target

Ghost Ogre's really hit or miss. It was mainly good for hitting True Light with and to a lesser extent, Lordly Lode, but in my experience that deck's become a lot less popular in the last couple weeks.

Play a bunch of spells, use Engage to get Hornet Drones + draw 1, use Hornet Drones to Link into Kagari, get Engage back, use Engage to search whatever else you want + draw 1, then you play with your actual deck.
