I thought Kako and Kurara were total deadweight in a fight until I realized they're intentionally shit so you can have them commit tactical suicide instead of characters who can pull their weight

what if Kuara was actually real and some of the memories were actually legit? Like, everyone in the TRC had died at this point and Takumi didn't even see the ghosts of his friends behind him when he did the final blow. It wouldn't surprise me if the deception was even deeper than just "lol Takumi imagined nozomi in his dream". All of their memories were heavily tampered with, including nozomi's when entering las defense academy.
