People praise Chaos Shuffle, but that shit is arguably more aids at it's core.

Base game has perks to correct for the lacking basekit: slowdown for killers and anti-tunnel, anti-camp, and anti-slug for survivors. Without these the games are ridiculously easy to tunnel, and if you don't the gens are done very quickly.

They also need to randomize items and add-ons. Random perks hardly matter when you are bringing best-in-slot add-ons as a 4000h Nurse. Same goes for survivors bringing syringes and BNPs. I also think killer choice should be randomized, but y'all aren't ready for that.

The only benefit of Chaos Shuffle is that it is somewhat regarded as the "casuals" game mode.

My general experience with killer,
(Playing male cosmetics only of op) is that while you can win without hard tunneling, you still generally need to cash in a death hooked survivor by 2-1 gens.
8+ hooking consistantly is unrealistic on any killer that isnt the busted 5.

The problem is too many in the community refuse to seperate the extremes from the expected. Survivors treat anything that isnt 12hooking unicorns mythically lost in the forest as tunneling. Killers treat any pair dicking around as le toxic swf navyseal bullysquad.
Its obvious the devs dont expect killers to 12hook when all their split perks only work on first hook states. Implying splitting to them is just hooking everyone once.

My concerns is whatever changes only widen the power gap between strong killers and weak, while the anti-X changes somehow punish 12hooking again like how most of the anti-tunnel perks do.

The concept is fun, an asymmetrical versus game where four players on a team run and hide from a fifth player who tries to kill them, with the game ending either when survivors complete five generators, open a gate and escape or they all die. That pitch plus all the licenses are what hook people, but the community makes it unfun because the game's meta is extremely unfun. The game can snowball in one direction or the other super fast, so survivors are encouraged to run a mix of gen speedup perks and second chance perks (e.g. a perk that lets you tank a hit and get a speedboost after being hit so the killer has to win another chase to down you), while killers are encouraged to run perks that delay the game as much as possible and to focus on killing one specific player and cut survivor progress by a third early. Everyone goes on about slugging but I think the real problem is some killers are just objectively better then others.
