Exactly. People acted like it personally offended them just because it wasn't Peak Kojimbo. Yeah, it had issues—recycled assets, weird story, felt slapped together—but mechanically? Still tight. It’s like they had all the parts of a decent game and no clue how to glue them together. Honestly if it had released as a $30 survival spin-off instead of being tied to the MGS name, people probably would've been a lot more forgiving.

it's actually fun, made even more fun the second time playing it after having played death stranding and being able to spot all the similarities. almost like mirror images of each other in some ways.
