I had free rides on most USAF flights that were shuttling between bases, and my mom was an aircraft mechanic so I also rode her airline free when seats were available. I was afforded a massive amount of travel in my youth and used it as often as I could. Admittedly, I no longer have access to free rides and that does lessen the amount of travel I can do, but when I do travel now I make up with it by being able to explore more than the airport or military base I landed at.
