Imagine you're born with every single winning ticket possible. Wealth, looks, athleticism, smarts, so on so forth. You then learn that it came from a program intended to make you perfect. At this point, rather than seeth and cope, you instead believe that this simply means you should see how much further you can take it. So you become a super-human, and you don't even stop at that, wanting something beyond even it. But by this point, humans seem pitiable in comparison. You can't relate to them what-so-ever, the only human you do like at this point is the person who keeps fucking with your plans. And even that is just because he impresses you with his knack for pulling off the impossible. In every other degree he's annoying as shit (even laughed at you once, the dick). By this point, you can't ever integrate back into society. Not just because of your sins, but because society disgusts you. It's either make everything like yourself, make real 'peers' to abide by your god complex- Or be felled doing it by the one man who might have a shot. For a man of ambition, there could be no middle ground nor alternative nor even compromise. He had to prove his right to be a god. Anything less would be an insult to his own grandeur, in his own eyes.
That and he really wanted to make Jill blonde.
