Its a cursed IP because the original source material was too good to live up to. A story set in a mythological world where superpowered child soldiers fight a cruel, technologically advanced enemy who wants to burn down everything in sight, while evading a morally conflicted, socially stunted prince, a sadistic Admiral and later a princess and other spiritual or physical threats. No game can really do the main story well and everything else is going to be fanfiction.

book of fire game on the ps2 was a lot of fun. what are you talking about? you had infinite element bending in it. no gay resource management. you could do multiple things with each element. you even had a gliding/flying sidegame where you flew around the world map. every character had lots of animations and dialogues in that mode. liked it more than the base game. the base game was a decent budget beatemup outside the bending. I only consider Ember Island Players to be filler. The rest is worldbuilding to humanize the Fire Nation or show other perspectives from people they meet. This series as a whole was lightning in a bottle and everything past the original show has been complete and utter dogshit. They gave the game rights to the Space Marine 2 people but I don't even think that will end up good, forcing this thing into being Nickelodeon's star wars has been a disaster and it should have been left buried after the finale.
