Pirate it. Tim himself has said they won't let go of it. Probably after Control 2 comes out Epic will buy the publishing rights.

Yeah, I liked both Control and Alan Wake, but think they fall flat in delivering a main villain because its always just some evil fog or literal darkness. I know it's supposed to be creepy and nebulous, but I liked the idea of Scratch as an actual antagonist.

Cut dialogue from the game showed that Scratch was going to be more directly involved in fucking with Alan. Like calling him up and saying he was going after Alice or to find him at places that were representative of Alan's worst aspects. Still the animalish one from the final game but it's actually him talking to Alan instead of just being mentioned throughout the game doing shit. Still would've had Alan get chased by the big spooky mist though.

Shame it was cut, but I guess it saves some disappointment not hyping Scratch up in that way if Alan wasn't going to get a real final confrontation with him.

I binged through AW1 and American Nightmare last month after I burned through Control sometime last year, and I've only just now started playing AW2 after it was on sale recently.
So far I'm liking Saga as a character well enough, considering that I went in thinking she'd be as on-the-nose as most other 2020s minority shoehorn characters. But that just makes it even stranger that they went and race-swapped the character since her being black so far doesn't seem to matter in the story at all.

Ending was kind of weak, but i enjoyed it.
Looking forward to control 2 and the spin off game looks fun.

At first, it's supposed to be confusing that Tor is Saga's grandfather. It keeps the mystery up for like four more chapters.

I know the story of the girl that escaped the facility through song is just supposed to be a nod for poe, but i rather like the idea of exploring more artistic mediums interactions with the dark place.
Also what the hell was the whole website blog thing about the woman describing the poems she found in an old house about?

I felt the opposite. You simply do not believe that a well off black lady would move into a tiny trailer in the pacific northwest and so the entire dramatic and horror hook about reality vs fiction never lands. A white lady on the other hand would fit right in.
