I don't follow this stuff, I don't even know who the YouTubers you guys are talking about are, but I work in a creative field and I've been doing things consistently for decades (I'm getting old, by the way), and I've learned a few things.
For example, some people are more stable than others. Generally, the most talented and disciplined people are able to maintain quality for a long time, sometimes for their entire lives, even though it's common to see some changes in style and interests.
But there are others who are successful initially but aren't really prepared to carry what they've created, either because they're not very emotionally prepared, or more often because they're not really that talented but did something of value kind of accidentally on their first try. The decline begins when this person desperately tries to maintain the standard of quality they initially set but fails tremendously.
