Kinda agree with this gaming handhelds would be more usable if it they had weaker specs and so were smaller/lighter with better battery life and they would be cheaper as well

It's not a mainstream machine nor was it ever meant to be one. Things could change with the Steam Deck 2 but that's entirely on Valve for what they want to do with it.

The GameBoy handily won against the MUCH more capable, but also bulky, GameGear for these very reasons.
Making a good handheld system is MUCH harder than making a good desktop/home console system because there are so many restricting factors you have to account for.
