Its fun because its a more casual version of sekiro. You have the same parry mechanics which are satisfying to pull off, but you don't have the anal, balls to the wall difficulty of sekiro.
In sekiro, a boss can take anywhere from 10 to 50 tries to beat, and when you get to those upper numbers, the game becomes more frustrating than fun.
In this game, up until now, i've beaten every boss with about 3 tries. (Although i've only been playing for about 4 hours) They're still challenging, but not to the point where you are banging your head against the wall
This, plus the other elements of the game like the dmc combos and the exploration make it quite fun.
The fanservice is a nice cherry on top

Some games increase difficulty to the point where they become hard for the sake of being hard, rather than for fun.

Nine sols is another example. One of the bosses (the fat lady, forgot her name) had 4 phases, and on top of that she made illusory copies so you couldn't tell which one to hit.
Maybe there was some sort of tell, but the boss was so damn long that it became frustrating rather than fun.

This game is pretty enjoyable so far though.

it's more like a less janky Jedi Survivor than Sekiro

No it isn't, it's every generic 360/PS3 action game thrown in a blender, we used to get dozens of these every year.

Sekiro was the easiest souls game. You literally get two fucking lives.

This aliexpress Automata clone has 0 smoothness to its gameplay like Sekiro does. You can't animation cancel with a parry, you don't have the satisfying animations of Sekiro. In fact, it plays like a typical UE action game and feels extremely generic gameplay wise. The literal ONLY thing this game has going for it is fanservice. People unironically force themselves to play this shit bc of sunk cost fallacy. Pathetic.

I think it depends on your playstyle. I also found Sekiro (and almost all parryslop) to be difficult because my reaction time is shit, Sekiro takes up 99% of the enemy thus making it hard to see when they’re about to connect, and some enemies having Gumby animations where you can’t even tell what part is going to hurt you. I found Consort Radahn to be easy because I can clearly see his moves and dodge them. I never bothered parrying in Dark Souls, to be fair. I’d rather dodge.

That's unironically a good thing. Because on the other hand you have some of the tightest hitboxes in video games that allows you passively dodge hits by simply moving.
