It's still going fairly strong, but the longer a game like this goes on it just becomes about elevating the ceiling and more and more stuff has become dependant on nearly your whole setup being paid dupes and endgame setups to stay viable, the game is really flawed since its built around one of its most notable events being a big guild vs guild score attack grind-off, but as far as just something to read and play it still holds up as an absolute content behemoth.
They've done a lot of work over the last few years to streamline the lower tiers of content, even just outright giving you weapon grids to equip and use as-is, but I dunno how efficient that is to do out of the box since I got into the game eight years ago. It looks pretty good but I didnt get to engage with it as a new player so, may vary.
But as for the sell, its a really big old school four niggas in a row final fantasy game on your phone with a vast world, fairly well written storytelling, and so many different characters and plotlines to follow that at least one of them will be your thing. The devs are old FF11 heads and basically strived to make that kind of experience on a phone, so thats the level of grind they kind of aim for, modern era pay2win to keep at absolute meta notwithstanding.
Just try it, its easy to start, kinda fun. I quit keeping up early last year but still open it to read specific event stories and stuff and theres a major Main Story update next week thats finally starting the big deal end goal of the whole game we've been waiting eleven years for.

I've always been able to pay with google play through the SkyLeap app even though I downloaded it through QooApp if you want to really Get In i'm pretty sure you won't encounter any issues. On PC I think you can use PayPal too.
