That has to be cope, the missing content in ff16 is a major problem that dlc can't fix.
Game is about rivaling countries on a dying world and you don't see any of their capitals outside of a quick dungeon rush. You don't see how the people react to what happens in the story. There are major areas missing, sidequest that go beyond mmo fetch stuff, the combat system lacks anything beyond the basic mechanics and plays the same 60 hours in as it does 6. It's a giant "what could have been" in all regards. Like they finished the proof of concept and just padded out what they had to 100 hours.
