It's a story about some guy that gets reincarnated as an elf and just chills in a paradise for a little over a century before deciding to travel and learn about the world. It is very well written and does the perspective of someone with a long lifespan very well. The fact that he's reincarnated becomes so insignificant that you could easily forget about it. There are frequent timeskips and people he meets early on will grow old and die. It's a very good read but chapters come out extremely slowly.

They shouldn't have made the protagonist so powerful as an idividual when the whole point of his abillities was that he couldn't just brute force anything and had to get creative and rely on others. And making Rhaptalia the love interest felt weird. She should have stayed a kid and grow up more naturally.

Cultivation settings have a much better setup for being a game, despite isekai setting being based on game.
Because when you take away the 'cheat' aspect of isekai settings, they're for the most part painfully generic and reliant on game tropes which are overdone in games.
Cultivation settings are equally reliant on tropes, but those tropes are not game tropes and would not be overdone in the context of a game.
The problem for me is that so far cultivation games always take the sandbox approach, instead of the RPG approach.

I honestly like this because it's who he was in his previous life. You can see him struggling to not be that person because he got a chance to reincarnate but inside he is still a fat hikki from Japan, even if he looks like a normal kid from that world. It's something that comes up a lot more in the more recent chapters, especially when he's dealing with one of his sisters.
A lot of isekai MCs just become totally different people upon reincarnation. It's like they preserve their memories but none of the personality. They go from a complete loser to this incredibly intelligent, charismatic and brave person instantly. It did not get any better and when finally something happened where a bunch of villagers and the big titty horn girl died i assumed "hey characters are actually dying" just for the MC to revives the big titty horn girl and everybody else like nothing ever happened and they kept adding more characters to the bunch so i gave up.
