I use to live with my dad and mom and we all three smoked. You should have seen how dirty our motherboards got. I spent hours scraping off the tar and shit for the fans and cleaned the heat sinks. Got maybe 3 degrees cooler temps lol. I quit smoking and now you just get some dust.

Depending on how often you clean, these run out too quickly. The only thing I like about them over the powered dusters is the small pipe and nozzle.

When something says "Warning: Flammable", I advise you pay attention. The PC LEDs were on, so it is likely that the flammable gas came into contact with electricity. I'm not an expert, though. A thorough explanation from an expert would be appreciated.

You should never have to reapply that anyway. That's just marketing fud from paste manufacturers.
>but my temps dropped when-
Then you applied it poorly when you first installed the cooler. If you do it right it'll last a lifetime.

You just use a can of air to blow all the dust out of the fans and other pieces twice a year. Also clean the filters in your case with an old toothbrush.
The only thing of note is to use a pencil or something to make sure the fans don't spin while spraying on them. And don't use vacuum cleaners due to static buildup.
You don't need to replace thermal paste unless you did a shit job at installing it in the first place.

That's the least of the issues, when it gets too cold it stops shooting out the air. Massive pain in the ass, had to keep a pot of water nearby to warm them back up every 10 seconds so that I could continue the cleaning.

technically yes, in practice electronics are really good at preventing this sort of shit. The problem is that the spray uses a flammable gas as propellant , and on top of that dust clouds literally explodes at the slightest flame. O and also the spay coldness will create water condensation on the surface.
