The only way you won't feel the negative effect on performance by denuvo, is if the game is well optimized, and you have a pc that is better than the minimum requirements to run the game.
If the game is already poorly optimized, which most moden games are, even AAA. Then denuvo is the drop that makes the glass run over.
Same with your pc's hardware. If your pc is only good enough for the minimum req of the game, then denuvo makes it so that the game runs poorly, even if it might not have, without it.
