I don't know how this psyop started that Atelier used to be good, especially when people are talking about the PS3 era and pretending those were good games. Those were always perceived as shovelware-tier kusoge. You could make the argument that the 2D pixel art Atelier games were good because they were working with a smaller scale and could create a better quality project as a result. But those didn't even get good until the Iris and Mana Khemia games.

Even the PS4 era was generally shit and didn't start getting better until at least Lydie & Sue.
