You thought wrong. It has empty space inside for the HDD+LAN Adapter add-on, but that's a separate purchase and can't even be used for game saves, just online shit

If you bought from Sony, and they could make their device work with 8MB of storage it'd still be 20 dollars for 8MB in 2025.
Seriously fuck Sony. You couldn't even save the game on PSP without buying their extremely expensive memory stick.

At least they course changed for PS3/PS4/PS5 and you could use almost any HDD/SSD/NVME SSD for those unlike Microsoft forcing you to buy a super expensive Microsoft branded HDD for 360 or a proprietary "Storage Expansion Card" for the Series S/X.

But then there was the Vita with proprietary Sony memory cards which was even worse than the PSP because at least other companies could manufacture the Memory Stick cards and they were at least compatible with some other devices like laptops.

thankfully snoy burnt themselves on the vita with abysmal sales and their shitty proprietary SD card. hell, they didn't even bother selling the 64GB model outside out japan. you had to import that shit if you wanted more than a few games on your vita.
