Both are fine. Good rpg, despite being simple and shallow. Personally, I laughed more with fractured but whole. Story dlcs are OK.

Stick of Truth has a better story and setting and is more "fun" in that regard but is too east. Fractured But Whole has much better game mechanics and is more challenging but the setting and humor are less good.

I'd take Stick of Truth if I had to pick one.

I've only played stick of truth, and a censored copy at that. Made the final defusal minigame thing way harder than it needed to be

stick of truth is way better. the only thing fractured does better is the combat but it also involves sitting through obnoxiously long attack animations so battles take forever.

Either option is fine. You can also do stuff like have a longer animation for kill shots and shorter ones when just doing damage. Or even just make it random.

Fractured because I like heroes and tactics, it's actually difficult and the DLC is fun

True, but the mechanics were still better than expected and were pretty good, they just didn't know how to balance anything for shit. It was too easy to stack fire buffs/debuffs and just steamroll with that.

I played Stick of Truth on CD years ago but never got very far. Since then, for over a decade, I have been trying to find a copy to replay the game but every pirated version I downloaded so far reported to have a virus and I am not taking any risks, so I have never been able to finish the game so far.
I hope one day, I will find a pirated version that is virus free so I can relive this game and finally beat it.
I wanna play as a black character because that makes the game harder which is hilarious.

I do not care much about the sequel at all.

Fractured but whole was fun but there was a few places where the game felt like it was dragging on in order to lengthen out the playtime as much as possible especially towards the end of the game. Like a good 3-5 hours of the content could be cut and nothing would be lost in that regard. Would replay it, but the game decided to randomly stop working on my computer one day and nothing seemed to fix it. Oh well. Prefer Stick of truth though, less depth, but better in pretty much every other regard.

Pretty much what everyone said, the stick of truth. Sure the sequel has more in depth combat, but almost everything else feels like a downgrade, too bad trey and matt are too old and busy now, would love a game based on the ninja weapons episode

It could be a $25 beat'em'up and do well if they don't ruin the artstyle like their ARPG. Honestly, you'd think making a game animated in this style, with all the assets of the previous game at their disposal, would be super easy.

Right, first one was obsidian. Iirc I saw the documentary and ubishit girl said they had to start anew, as the developers changed. Iirc 2 looks better than one.
