I'm not seething over consoles, I just prefer PC, so I don't have delusions about "console design philosophies" that I constantly have to go out of my way to avoid.

You can play MMOs and strategy games on console too

Console games are the most "real" games out there because they evolved from the arcade and are based around reflex and skill expression. PC games are work spreadsheets with colorful UIs painted over them.
