Sega is currently the only big publisher/developer that is run by management that resemble old Nintendo/capcom/playstation, expect a few years of high quality shit before they run out of money or the leadership quits and they return to making slop

Yes and no. While Shonobi is 100% Lizardcube, for SoR4 they "only" made the visuals. Guard Crush was on charge of gameplay (they just released a demo for pic related, their new beat'm up. Which is also a rogelite).

Guard Crush need's Lizard Cube, Absolum gameplay is GREAT but man the thing's around it.
Even the systems (roguelite crap and all that) are cool but HOLY shit who the fuck cares about that cartoon network lore?
I also don't like the character designs, really generic indie slop, wish they were aspired the old medieval beat 'em ups or something.

Weird thing is the graphics are being made by another French studio. You'd expect more outstanding character designs from Frogs but here we are. Nice environments, I'll give them that.

Good to hear that this year's crop of Ninja games are going to rock. You never know with these modern platformers. Sometimes they look like they are going to be good but then turn out bloated and full of unfun mechanics.
