I'm yet to try prototype, I played infamous second son on ps4 and kinda liked it (game looks very good also), but then I bought and played infamous 1 and it was boring as hell

I don't know I just don't get the appeal of this and it was also a very rough game in the technical department, I heard infamous 2 improved on pretty much all aspects of the game

2 was too colorful, had worse story, replaced the awesome raycast beam with slow ass projectiles, had too many powers that made you pause the game to switch between them and a terrible final boss, actually I can't recall a single good boss
sure it looked and ran better but it unironically removed all or most the soul the first game had

I regret selling the collection so much. Also bewilders me how of all the games to get remasters and remakes, somehow these two have been completely looked over. In the current landscape people would LOVE these games.

Except no Ray Spheres means no Beast, Kessler's M.O. is the sacrifice of the few to save the lives of the many so the future that is his past never happens, he's only happy if Cole takes the power for himself because that means he'll stand a better chance of beating up The Beast, it's not because he believes humanity should be usurped by conduits, even though that kind of person actually has a motive for trying to create Ray Spheres, instead he just wants The Beast dead.
A Kessler prequel game could've been cool, him having to choose between Conduits no longer existing and Conduits dooming humanity, with the canonical choice being the latter ironically turning Cole into the kind of person that'd choose the former, but as it stands, he's just an idiot who could've easily stopped The Beast all on his own.

Getting Doctor Manhattan'd by the Ray Sphere is what made John into The Beast. It probably didn't happen to him in Kessler's timeline, and it was someone else.

I only ever played the [Prototype] games for years, but I recently went back and tried the inFamous games, and even my biased ass can say inFamous was always way fucking better.
That said, [Prototype] was still great, and exactly one asspull would be enough to retroactively fix [Prototype 2].
