I think the easiest way to see this phenomenon in action is posting controversial opinions on reddit vs framing them as concern trolling, one gets you instantly downvoted while the other will garner tons of sympathy and support, despite being the same exact opinion

Pretty sure it's Sony's attempt at a Payday-type "extraction shooter," considering the theming of the game seems to be the "steal from da rich (but not Papa Corporation, of course)" and so you'll be doing heist shit.

Just played this after astro bot, and this game feels much worse
they have the same basic moveset but the movement in this game is floaty and the level design is boring and unchallenging

Honestly, the first part. Sony really needs their own new leading mascot character, but Astro Bot needs to be reworked from the ground up to the point where you might as well just start over with a new idea. Crash was such a blessing for them because he bridged the gap between "funny cartoon character" and "more mature than Plumber Boy," while Astro Bot has been a complete regression of that attitude. They're extremely marketable, that's what. Ratchet is a manlet, so is Toro, and they were the brand's mascots for years. Even Sonic and Mario are manlets. Astro Boy absolutely works as a mascot and the newer games in particular have proven that because he is identifiable both as himself and he can wear other people's appearances naturally.
