Sometimes I think the game being rushed to coincide with the PS2’s launch and hype is why it looked so ugly, played horribly, had terrible music that didn’t even fit Crash and recycled the same boss 6 times but with new coats of paint. But the devs also may have just been incompetent since Naughty Dog was able to make Crash games in 6 months to a year back-to-back.
