I really wish a 2010s imac lookalike monitor existed. I think the design is just beautiful, with the aluminum chin and the black borders. But there's no other monitor that has the exact same design. The closest I could find is this weird Chinese knock off that nobody's ever heard of. And I'm not paying for a whole damn all in one PC just for its monitor.

why not just do a face plate for the effect? it isn't illegal to mod shit, hell Disney did a neat effect i saw on a cruise ship once where they take your typical monitor, disable the backlight, put it behind a well fitting picture frame, then indirectly light it with a canvas map or painting image behind glass, this let them make a fairly convincing map that shifts and moves occasionally.
