Depends who you're talking about, but if you're referring to Kojima (and let's be real, you probably are), then yeah, absolutely. People meme on him for being "weird" or convoluted, but the guy's been pushing boundaries since MGS2. Half the time his work gets criticized for being too ahead of its time, and then a decade later everyone’s calling it genius. Dude’s playing 4D chess while the rest of the industry is still stuck on checkers.

I think so, if only because if you followed the Tecmo Koei female employee gossip he won that sexual accusation lawsuit and then he counter-sued for wrongful termination for not providing him pay bonuses for Ninja Gaiden 2. Won that lawsuit again.

He totally ruined his reputation with Devil's Third and then chased NFT trends and is no longer relevant. If you care about Itagaki at all, the last lore dump was when the "rival" Tekken series director posted a very VERY long tweet detailing his entire interaction with Itagaki and why he hated Tekken/Namco so much. I won't spoil it but damn, Itagaki literally was using binoculars to spy on the competition and writing down the rival fighting game franchise entire devs names during work hours like he was a government agent.
