The only games I play that got meaningful upgrades were Deep Rock Galactic, Koikatsu (getting swarmed by 3+ cunnies feels SO much smoother now), and War Thunder, of which I play maybe once a week.

Upgrading your GPU is a meme, my old 1070 had 1-3 years still left in it. If you must upgrade, depending on your speccs, a new CPU and RAM would probably do a lot more to improve your day-to-day computin.

I bought a 2080 at launch and kept going oh I'll buy the new one oh wait it's not that big an upgrade so it's not worth it. Then oh wait the 4000 series is overpriced garbage. Now the 5000 line is overpriced garbage too and I'm just not sure when to bother. I run on a 1440p monitor and still get 60+ on most titles I like.

If you're fine with DLSS4 and 1080p, then no, it won't. It'll last longer than that, unless you're trying to play some true AAA rtx ridden UE5 unoptimized slop shit.

I first bought an RX 6650 XT, and I was playing on a 2K monitor, without Vsync enabled. I didn't know anything about PCs. I had disgusting black bars on the screen. Finally, I bought an RX 7800 XT, and in the end, I only play Minecraft or light games. So it's not a very good investment, but the graphics card is very good.
