What flowers are you trying to grow that only nets you 1 single seed even with Matsuri's sword? When you use Matsuri's sword on a crop or flower, it gives you seeds equal to the crop/flower's Harvest quantity (so for example, using it on Rice which normally gives you 30-ish Rice on normal harvest will give you 30-ish Rice Seedlings). Unless I haven't encountered it yet because it's some end-game flower that is only available after a certain main story point, the lowest flower harvest quantity I've seen is 2-3. Mind you, I grow all the flowers at their best seasonal village, including the Summer flowers, so maybe that's why I haven't seen any 1 harvest quantity flowers.

Do you guys still do the farming yourself or do you delegate it to the incompetent villagers? Farming is supposed to part of the fun, they even made quality of life farming features like the overhead mode or using the drum to speed up the harvest. I find the most optimal money making is to make the villagers work in shops/barns/fishing, but i guess if you dont mind the money earned being slightly less, it's a good call to make it self sufficient in auto mode

One of their earlier games Portia let you help a pair of dateable NPCs get together, and they even have a kid, albeit you don't really get much more content after that.

Those devs have a surprising amount of edge/balls to them compared to most of these kinds of games what with one RO having a terminal disease which used to always kill her after X years, which even after an update still required you to do a recurring quest to keep her alive, an RO who goes out to get milk and never comes back after you beat the story even if you have kids and so on
