Interesting how this kinda lines up with my feelings of each era. I always thought the early '90s, that I remembered, was a little boring but I was happy enough and feeling optimistic. The mid '90s was mixed but the late '90s was a great time for me. Early '00s was also good times. Things did get a bit uncertain after 9/11. '03 must have been the war. And I always felt that 2007+ was the turning point where everything went bad (recession aside). By 2011 life felt stagnant. 2013+ I went to college so that helped distract me in life but it was stressful.
