Play the tutorials then play "versus AI" mode. But if you want to learn the old fashioned way, start with sledge & rook as your first operators, those two will teach you the fundamentals of the game. With rook, all you have to do is just set the armor plates down and hang out in the objective room. With sledge, you'll learn which walls are hard or soft with your breaching hammer or what's destructable or not destructable in the game, also his rifle is one of the best in the entire game.

Back in the day, they had a game mode called terrorist hunt which was a PvE mode that you can either play with yourself or co-op. That was the true way to get good at the game. They took it out though for whatever reason.
