It would be kino if she figures out that it's linked to Silent Hill and takes a plane to America and that last act takes place in the town of Silent Hill.
>>712589847 That's exactly what the original silent hill was. For me silent hill has always been a juxtaposition between comfy/slow build horror. They are going back to that here in a way the remake never captured.

Ready to be proven wrong again, anon? Have you looked at how releases this year seem to exceed expectations. Expect the same here as well just following the momentum of Silent Hill 2 remake.
>>712589658 (OP) It would've been better, and more interesting, to have Ryukishi07 write a story set in America for once. I think something really creative and different could pop from that.

>>712589658 (OP) It looks like it was supposed to be a different game entirely but sometime during development they decided to make some slight changes and slap the Silent Hill name on it for brand recognition.
It being Japanese has nothing to do with it, it fundamentally lacks the feeling of Silent Hill at all, plus it's generic third person over the shoulder camera is clearly aiming at modern retard audiences.
>>712596090 >It being Japanese has nothing to do with it, it fundamentally lacks the feeling of Silent Hill at all, That's part of why it lacks the feeling of it. It doesn't have to be Silent Hill, but an interesting aspect of Silent Hill is that it's Japanese developers writing a story very inspired by Western horror media. This game seems to have no Western horror media influence, it's totally Japanese, which isn't really the roots of the series like they're purporting it to be. The biggest inspiration for Silent Hill 2 is Jacob's Ladder, for example.

>>712589658 (OP) Yeah I don't know how it's going to do. J-Horror is pretty niche and just mentioning schoolgirls puts off the normie audience these days. Like nobody plays Fatal Frame.
>>712599246 >Like nobody plays Fatal Frame. Have you seen FF4?? only llaunching in Europe and japan for the loooongest time ever. Then FF5 being some gay ass Wii U exclusive that almost nobody had. They did that to themselves, they killed the Fatal frame franchise on their own, the retards. Not the fans' fault
