Downgrade for me personally but other people enjoy it more. It doesn't have the same atmosphere, offers fast travel right out the gate, cinematics are worse, felt more on rails to me however that might be due to me being better at identifying metroidvania elements, I thought the soundtrack was good but it wasn't really heavy like the first was. If it was real money (and was actually real and not Xbox fucking up), I couldn't even imagine what they would lock behind a pay wall, especially one of randomness. Charms? Weapons? Not the kind of game that facilitates such things. Even visuals aren't something that you could easily sell the idea of, especially since this type of game isn't one that would allow people to flaunt.
