>Stop playing games on console >Pirate most games instead of buying them on steam
I don't care so much about Steam achievements because you can easily cheat and get them all, nobody gives a shit
It's so freeing not worrying about 100%ing a game. I played both Clair Obscur and Indiana Jones recently and just played enough until I was happy with them. Whereas if I was trophy hunting, I would have been playing both for an extra 20+ hours
>>712626596 (OP) why would it? if achievements are all you care about you don't like the game. just don't play it.

>>712627570 I've played a lot more, I just thought those two are prime examples of games that a lot of people who care about achievements would try to 100%.
That's another good point though, a lot of games achievement hunters won't even try because the lost is too hard. Not caring to opens up a lot more games to play

>>712626596 (OP) >How do i stop giving a shit easy don't give a shit
>>712626596 (OP) I feel you. It's the main reason i still buy most games on playstation despite having a decent gaming PC. I really wish I could just stop caring, but it's basically the same as all the other little autisms that ruin my gaming experiences: forcing myself to talk to every npc, hugging all the walls to make sure i don't miss any items etc. I'd love to know if there's a cure for all this shit.
>>712626674 How does one get better at this? I made my first set last year and it took over 6 months of digging through memory, I almost wanted to give up near the end. I think the concept of making sets is fun but the fucking around in the memory not so much.

>>712626596 (OP) I got over it after 91 platinum trophies by getting a job. Didn't have time to waste on meaningless achievements anymore. I just finish a game and move on.
I just set my own challenges. After hollow knight's no death run, I went back and played a bunch of metroidvanias like that, which added a bunch of playtime to them.

>>712628621 yeah im the same, but hey at least this means i buy some games physically too. trophies just makes the experience richer to me, feels good to be "rewarded" for playing.

Once I realized most achievements are just tedious and not difficult I stopped. I'd rather something be hard than slow and not artificially hard like LASO on Halo or something retarded.
