Sounds like chinkslop. Having just watched the gameplay trailer, yes, it's a horrible soulslike mess with boring enemy attacks and parryslop carrying most of the fights without any apparent options. You can't seriously call it fun, can you?

I'm on the fence here. Platinum has had really awful track record for the last decade or so but there's hope TN supervision will help and make at least Ryu sections of the game fast-paced and fun.

Too much rotation, feints, winding up and other time-wasting shit that some action games resort to when the only mechanic that matters is parrying and nothing more. It gets old pretty quick and feels more like simon said or some other puzzle game, not an action game where decision-making matters.
