It's really difficult because the first hour or two of the game was so good. The entire opening about Gustave and Sophie was so beautiful. It brought me to tears. Gustave turning his gun on himself, Lune's dry humor and their mission. I have never in my life had a game dig it's claws in me so deeply. But once Maelle joins, Gustave just becomes doting dad/brother. He treats her like a toddler, and if that was the case why did he "let" her come? It just seems so odd since you get a chance to talk to two white Nevrons before recruiting Maelle, yet he gets on her case when she tries to talk to Nevrons. I just don't really like Maelle very much and knowing the first 2 or so hours of the game's story take a backseat for a character I thought was generally bland is a hard pill to swallow. Verso, Mococo, Maelle, and Scar Wife Whose Name I Forget Because She Has No Character are just not interesting characters for me, and Lune no longer has Gustave to bounce off of. I just don't know. As quickly as the game dug it's claws in me, by the second or third hour of act 2 I just put it down and havent gotten the urge to pick it back up. I might try today though.
