you could watch just the two trailers we have and go through the website and probably be able to pick out dozens more references and allusions, they are very much on its sleeve

What made all the other pre GTA 5 games so good was that they put you in the role of a badass gangster doing badass shit inspired by good gangster films. GTA 5 deviated from that by making it into a realistic Los Angeles simulator based on nothing more than real life celebrity culture and black culture and this one looks like it's going to be even more of that.
