I remember the energy behind making warlocks legit tanks. They could back in MoP and it was cool, but the pushback at the time was that it 'wasn't needed'. Like any class 'needs' 3 ways to do 1 fucking role?
By the time Legion came out all energy for it had died bc it was clear blizz didn't give a fuck about class design anymore

Druid tanks are boring and bad, Paladin tanks are just regular bad.

Legion was The Mona Lisa compared to everything that came after it.
It was the last chance blizzard had to fix the game and they threw it away immediately. The only thing I didn't like about it was the welfare legendaries and the artifact weapons.

I prefer Death Knight because I think they're cooler and it's fun to summon minions but not sit behind them like a little bitch.

Levelled a paladin to 70 all the way from vanilla. Being paladin in a 5man dungeon was great, could support the team while Seal of Command-ing, save from wipes and back up the healer. Any other situation was shit though.

Priests aren't explicitly "holy". Priests of different backgrounds can have different forms of worship. Paladins, on the other hand, only had one form of upbringing.
Priests of all variety, alignment and background is a staple in all fantasy. But Paladin means one thing.
