Tempo's ass ingame is good but the reason for that is because she just reuses the driver's model. I'm scared of the dev getting not-lazy and creating a separate hamplanet model for her.

I hate games with a dedicated drift button. They are almost always ultra shallow, such as Victory Heat Rally.
They remove the driving aspect, since the process of cornering becomes somewhat automated, and now the whole technique is how fast you can start/end drifts in corners.

The score isn't actually how the GP final results are decided. I got second in points but first in the GP when I won all the races.
Of course that means there's another issue where we can't SEE how the GP final results are decided.

I played an entire Grand Prix in expert mode. It's not bad, but it's not my style of game. It's basically endless use of boosts all the time, on corners, on straights, and on top of that you also get boosts on the track.

Pros:
>Fun Driving that is hard to master
>Neat Tracks to drive again and do challenges
>Pretty gud style, pleasing my eyes
>Tempo and there'll be rest like her soon

Cons:
>AI can be a pain to beat as they can do fast and do tricks with little to no error even with lower difficulties
>Some tracks like Forest can cause slowdown and lose frames if you're playing it on your toaster
>Trick system is hard to maintain when getting bumped and keeps losing score

Overall I really like it. I just hope the cons can be fixed soon.

Anyway. Judging from gameplay footage, Project Turbo Blast is not for me. But can anyone suggest something else? What I'd like is a game where the action wasn't so hectic, but instead it was more about clear lines and waiting for opportunities.

Basically, is there a "realistic" racing game, but with scifi visuals and flair? Because I don't want to buy a wheel, or drive around boring / photorealistic tracks. However. I also don't want something that requires ADHD and very snappy fingers to enjoy.

This game reminds me of when I played NFS Carbon as a wee lad. In that it keeps telling me that these drag race muscle cars have abysmal handling and only excel in linear races but I consistently land turns and drift with the way better than with any of the supposedly balanced cars.

I hate this. This is awful. My car feels like ME Maco with every movement setting multiplied by x5000.

I'm playing on a gay thinkpad with an integrated GPU because I can't make heads or tails of retarded modern hardware nomenclature and the 7000000 CPU and GPU submodels I have to sift through. I usually just dump all graphics options into minimals because I can't be bothered to figure out what I can get away with.
