Don't worry, the official translator is only a hobbyist who doesn't speak Japanese and is an ESL
>>712653531
the current state of translations is so fucking sad that some random ESL who isn't even fluent but is very afraid of fucking it up would likely do a better job than a professional one
>>712650652
He probably will be considering how much they like to jerk him off. At the end Cassius will be talking about how awesome the boy he met in Erebonia is.
>>712657830 >あ、あんですって~⁉
It's supposed to be a slang exclamation in response to... well, many things, like shock, anger, etc. Doesn't actually translate to something precise.
>>712658108
Different gameplay systems, pretty 3D graphics, maybe some added content idk.
It's a proper remake in the sense of not just slapping higher quality textures or upscaling filters.

They give off childhood friend vibes more than adopted siblings, Rean and Elise on the other hand is where it gets creepy with Elise always thirsting for Rean.
>>712660285 >https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ubWNAGmyHck starts playing >"new boss theme?aren't these guys just normal enemies?" >Shadow Weaving >AT DELAY >Shadow Weaving >AT DELAY >"huh...." >Shadow Weaving >AT DELAY >"oh god please stop"
And from that day on, Esuteru became an Earth Wall bot.

This one reminds me that I thought they were going to reveal Sara as part of the one letter guys. For some reason it plays for her too, sounded like clever foreshadowing.

Besides Estelle, Joshua and maybe Amalthea none of the modernise designs and 3d models impress me so far. It's clear these designs were made for their time they knew it else they won't just magically redesign Anelace like that. Also whoever is replacing Nial and Dorothy duo doesn't capture their charm from the original.
>>712664391 >they won't just magically redesign Anelace like that
I bet Falcum didn't even remember who the fuck is Analace until they started re-reading FC script and went >oh the cutebrain who had a funny sequence about becoming """"""rivals""""""
>>712666243
Honestly accurate representation of Estelle battle performance.
Why the fuck is she so weak compared to everyone else in the party. Except Tita I guess, but that's a fucking loli.
>>712665524
I KNEW they'd retcon her to use a katana or at least something similar. >>712667602
She used a western sword in the original, which made her not fit in with literally all the other 8 Leaves users.
Is Kai no kiseki(i dunno the english name) releasing on october touched by trannylators?
At this point i'm mindbroken by trannies fucking over translations with their zoomer and tranny terms that i might as well download the fan translated one in the falcom general.
>>712668832
Falcoom is dumb, any other company would have kept a character like her around, even if you are only going to use her to namedrop Estelle or tell you how much she likes cute shit.
>>712673123
She'll be back someday. They've featured her in some of the montages in later games, and she has enough connections to other characters that it makes sense to bring her back for the finale.
>>712664324
Same, but I actually beat it after 52 hours, then started Second Chapter, but couldn’t go past 5 hours, it’s just mediocre in every aspect. I wish this was a visual novel because I kinda liked the main characters and wanted to know what happens to them.
>>712650482 (OP) >I humbly give thanks to the kind-hearted soul that kindly built the underground waterway
Is that how she talks all the time or is it that thing where they they're overly humble as a joke?
>>712650482 (OP)
Is Kiseki even worth getting invested in? I only finished the FC and SC but looking up spoilers it seems they might be going for a Star Ocean 3 simulation scenario? Is this true?
>>712676352 >Is Kiseki even worth getting invested in?
yes >looking up spoilers it seems they might be going for a Star Ocean 3 simulation scenario? Is this true?
wat? no
>>712676352
The overwhelming focus of the games is on the localized stories, character arcs, and setting development. If they end up flubbing the overarching plot, then that will be disappointing, but it hardly invalidates those earlier stories.
On the other hand, if you're not interested in those smaller stakes stories, then you'll probably be frustrated by the pace.
>>712676819 >If they end up flubbing the overarching plot, then that will be disappointing, but it hardly invalidates those earlier stories.
But does it look like a Star Ocean 3 direction is likely for the overarching story or no?
>>712676819 >The overwhelming focus of the games is on the localized stories, character arcs, and setting development.
I heard those have all gone downhill after Crossbell though.
>>712676945
In the sense that the game world is a theme park for outsiders from the "real" world, and all your struggles up to that point were essentially a next generation reality show? No, I think that's unlikely.
In the sense that there is some "inner" and "outer" reality with a complicated relationship? Probably, but a computer simulation is only one of several explanations they could go with for that, and it's going to be some form of made up technobabble regardless.
>>712677383
My point is that there's nothing forcing you to complete the series, so you shouldn't worry about getting "invested" in it. Most of the "payoff" is within arcs, though there are enough callbacks and references that it's preferable to play the games in order.
As to whether it falls off: I personally was less of a fan of the style they went with for Cold Steel (still enjoyed them overall) but that was clearly an intentional choice by the developers, and the next series has its own style too that I like more.
