At least those are games in their own right and have actual unique locations and what have you. Symphonia is a complete retread that just does everything worse than Symphonia. It's a horrible fucking game that didn't need to exist and legit turned me off from the series entirely. To this day I've never played another Tales game, but I know for a fact those other games can stand on their own better than this piece of dogshit.

The entire game was a big fat miss but I especially hated what they did to the voice acting for the first game’s characters. Who greenlit Lloyd sounding like a chipmunk and Zelos sounding like he’s stoned?
