I hate Penelope in Sly 4 and I’m still mad that shitty game will probably be the last game in the series instead of 3. Basically, she betrays the Cooper Gang and her boyfriend Bentley (one of my favorite characters) because she thought they weren’t making enough money. It’s a retarded motivation and she was never shown to hate the Gang or be that greedy in the last game. Her design is also worse, like all of Sly 4’s designs, because she’s not meant to be a tall babe like Carmelita—both she and Bentley gave each other fake photos of themselves when they were chatting online and were initially disappointed when they met in person. These games never had a very complicated story, so it’s impressive how much they managed to fuck up 4.

It’s believed that that twist was a decision made late in development and they were originally going to have it be Sir Raleigh, a villain from the first game. They thought it would be a more shocking twist if Penelope turned evil even if it made zero sense.

If there’s one thing I hate it’s missed potential. The intro of No More Heroes 3 is pure SOUL and shows a boy named Damon and his relationship with the alien FU. Then FU returns to earth as an adult to conquer it but still considers Damon his closest friend. That’s a neat premise with a pair of villains who are friends and they could have explored it more but they don’t really outside of the intro, and in the end Damon is like “Just kidding, I’m pure evil and don’t care about FU at all anymore and my motivation is to kill Travis because he beat me up”. Fucking so lame. I found it much more disappointing than the pizza guy in NMH2. I don’t know why NMH1 is still the only game to not drop the ball with the final boss.

It feels like double fine changed the entire plot of psychonauts 2 third of the way through. The interns would have probably been fine if you spent more than a intro mission and some change with them.

Bobby Zilch from the first game was just a goofy cartoon bully, but this bitch genuinely made me feel angry. Worst part of the game by a landslide.

Palutena from Kid Icarus, probably one of the most annoying characters I've seen in a game, and that game was already full of obnoxious characters.

I fucking hate this thing. I have always hated it. It's never been funny.

Julia. From Okage Shadow King. She's the childhood friend/romantic interest character typical of the genre.

Until the main character gets possessed and has to go on a quest and shit. Then she dumps him because she's a bitch.

I am probably completely alone in this but I fucking hate Karin. I admit that if she stayed in the Alpha series I'd probably just find her mediocre (she's a bit bland as far as a Sakura rival could go but her rekka is neat) but her SFV iteration made everything about her worse and added like five more reasons to hate her (worse outfit, shitty hair, complete and utter Mary Sue in the story, rekka castrated and forced into VT1, annoying high tier throughout the game's entire life with better normals than 90% of the cast).

A lot of people hate Ingrid (I do too) but I hate Karin just as much, and yet Ingrid's SF6 redesign looks miles more interesting than SFV Karin so Karin might actually slip down even further on my list of shitty SF characters.

I hate that woman in Doom Eternal who leaves the voice messages around about how fucking awesome doomguy is. Like obsessively, religiously gushing over how fucking good he is at killing demons.

It's a good voice performance. I'm sure the voice actress just read what she was told. But God I hate that unnamed character.
