The Steam Deck BTFOs the very idea of "console".
All the convenience of consoles, with the open nature of PC freedom in one sleek package. The perfect accessory to a desktop rig.

I remember the console wars of yesteryear
I never thought they could get dumber, gayer and more obnoxious but somehow the modern day /v/ tourist brain found a way to do the job

I wouldn't want to try play New Vegas without the 100 mods it needs to not crash every 5 minutes

>The perfect accessory to a desktop rig.
Why does your desktop rig need an accessory?
Do you just play handheld in your gamer chair in front of your monitor? that's retarded!

This is why nobody bought this thing

Maybe some people don't want to sit at a desk after a long day of work or study? Maybe they just want to flop onto the couch and play some indie kino? Ever thought about use cases?
>muh AAA
That's why Moonlight exists, to play heavy games on your deck.
>but why not use Android phone with controller?
Because I like having access to the Steam Controller 2.0 built into the Steam Deck when I stream games.

Here's a trick: just copy and paste the files from your copy of New Vegas from your PC.

Don't know if that would work with Viva New Vegas which is the best way to set it up

It should work with most of it, but check with each mod just in case.

You can mod on the deck.

Bullshit.

The battery dies quickly in 2 hours of playing anything unless it's brand spanking new and even then....3 hours.

The dock? Sold separately. And it breaks often. Plus, the PS4 tier specs provide a middling experience on the big screen anyways.

Compatibility? A joke. You can get things barely working, but shit like fear and hunger STRUGGLE to run on the deck. So unless you play just cozy slop, you're gonna spend more time fiddling around the config instead of playing games.

Conclusion? Steam deck niggers spend more time bitching about other consoles and machines instead of actually playing games. Much like Linux users who only just post what their wallpaper is on /g/.

That's why Valve and Nintendo are the future, it's over for home console gaming.
