Excellent winter snow game with one of the best mecha designs ever made.
I love low key rugged utility mech vehicles in LP so much.
And even the 'super mecha' at the end was still cool even if I'm not that fond of super robots usually.

Goated game, fun as fuck with friends, but man the gameplay was messing as fuck. All I remember was shoot the orange shit, whatever batshit things are going on around you, dont worry about it. Just shoot the orange shit.

At the time they had to decide if they wanted to split focus on this or solely focus on monster hunter, so lost planet was sacked in favor of Monster Hunter.

They really polished the gameplay in 2. And the game changes so much with different loadouts and abilities. I wish you could shuffle the vital suits that spawn on the levels though. Playing through the first game with all its braindead ai and stiff movement is hard to get used to after going through the second. Shame the multiplayer was extremely cancerous compared to the first one. I think with halo 3 being out, they never stood a chance with that arena style gameplay regardless. You weren't making a successful arena game after halo 3.
