Only those who started with Skyrim find Morrowind hard to comprehend, but that has more to do with the mind-numbing shallowness of Skyrim than with the complexity of Morrowind.

I like Morrowind but what filters me is the way you speak to NPCs. Walking encyclopedias and it makes me not want to deal with quests. Also quite a few quests that you can break by accidently exploring where you'll get no reward. had to download mods to fix them.

morrowind is just as mind numbing
the quests are just chores, there is no grander narrative
and the gameplay? all melee plays exactly the same and magic buckbreaks the game immediately, bound weapons are better than daedric because they cost barely any stamina to swing while retaining the damage
