I've only played Bravely Default and Second. I enjoyed them quite a lot. I think BD was better than BS, but BS was still pretty good. Really happy the remake of BD is making people allowing people to try the franchise out and make SE realize the Job System is fun tier. Haven't played BD2 yet but I haven't heard anything negative about it yet.

I LOVED bravely second. Most people seem to dislike it, mostly for story reasons. It was kinda like a FFX-2 situation where people were not able to take the tonal difference between default and second. But it's not as extreme as X-2. I think it was especially hated in Japan for some reason. And I think because of the Japanese reception, the entire bravely series was put on ice and we probably will never see Magnolia and gang again.
I didn't touch the mobile games so I have no idea about those.
Neither have I played bravely default 2 because, well, just look at it. They also made retarded changes to the battle system.

If your enjoyment of BD is playing around with jobs to try and find set ups that let you break the game, you might not enjoy BD2 (not Bravely Second, that's a different game).

The devs felt they needed to balance that shit so a lot of enemies are just given the ability to arbitrarily counter certain actions by giving them free turns. i.e. an early boss in the game will instant counter with silence if you try and use Cure.

it is. you need to hit level 80 in any class. the game piles exp onto you via the MSQ so getting to 80 on 2 classes is pretty easy.

also, to be Viper you actually have to pay for dawntrail so if you're doing the free trial you can't do it anyway. recommend starting as marauder. you can pick up a melee dps class there that gets a little button mashy in rogue/ninja

Either way you want to look at it, Stellar Blade and Exp 33 are more successful than FF16.
